You can write a demand letter for yourself. You don’t need a lawyer to ask for money you’re owed. You can also refer to yourself in the third person—for example, “Alex Taylor requests a refund”—and sign the letter yourself. That wording alone does not claim attorney representation.

The point is to help your letter get taken seriously when an ordinary request might be ignored. This tool borrows the appearance of a law firm without claiming a lawyer wrote your letter. The names and address are fictional. Sign as yourself, and don’t claim to be a lawyer or to have representation you don’t have.

There’s no blanket guarantee that fictional letterhead is lawful in every situation. Rules vary, and misleading someone about legal representation can have consequences.
